Malew commissioner explains resignation

Eddie Power stepped down before Christmas

A former Malew commissioner says he wouldn’t be tempted to stand for the House of Keys after resigning from the board.

Eddie Power announced his resignation just before Christmas, citing personal differences with another board member.

And with local authority elections later this year, it’ll mean there won’t now be a by-election before the Island goes to the polls.

But would Mr Power consider standing in national elections which also take place later this year?
