Fire services warn of scam

by isleofman.com 13th January 2016

Member of public contacted about payment for advertising

Fire Officers are warning of a potential scam.

It's after a member of the public was contacted by someone claiming to be a fire officer, asking about advertising in a publication and payment for it.

They say such a call will be a scam and you should not engage with such a caller or provide any details of payment.

No Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service Officer will ever call and ask about advertising and payment for any service.

Anyone who receives such a call should contact the fire services and notify them.
