Patrick commissioner to step down

David Talbot to focus on credit union

A commissioner in the west of the Island has announced he won't be standing in the Local Authority General Election in April.

David Talbot of Patrick Commissioners took to social media this morning to say he would be stepping down, to concentrate on other work.

That does not include preparing another bid to enter national politics, though, in September's General Election.

Mr Talbot says being involved with trying to set up a credit union in the Isle of Man will be his main focus:
