Time to assess parliamentary bodies

MHK asks COMIN to assess range of bodies

There needs to be a ‘bonfire’ of government and parliamentary committees and boards, so says a West Douglas MHK.

Chris Thomas will next week call on the Council of Ministers to assess the purpose of a range of bodies, some of which he feels are either no longer necessary in their current form or should recruit members differently.

He says the recent selection process to elect a new Education Council is one such example.
