Man arrested after drugs find

The Police have confirmed that a 20 year old man has been arrested, and remains in Police custody, following the discovery of a quantity of cannabis bush in a property on Derby Road, Douglas.

The quantity of drugs recovered would have a street value of ?2500.

Detective Sergeant Allan Thompson of The Proactive Team said: “Drug dealers keep presenting us with opportunities to disrupt and dismantle their criminal activities. We feel there is a real momentum with the turn of the New Year in terms of proactivity and we welcome any information regarding drug dealing on our island. We will take positive action.”
