Castletown dentist and football team brings smiles to the Gambia

by isleofman.com 11th January 2016
Local Dental Practice manager, Wendy Mahon of Tracey Bell brought smiles to the faces of schoolchildren in Gambia in January 2016.

Packed into her suitcase for her trip, Wendy ensured that her bikinis & dresses were swapped for old Castletown Football Club kits, which had been donated by the Castletown Clu .

Speaking at the end of her holiday, Wendy Mahon said, “the children’s excitement and smiles made my holiday even better, it made us all realize how a simple gift of kindness can mean so much to a group of schoolchildren who showed everyone their kits and wore them with great pride.”

Wendy travelled to Gambia in December and had made contact with a local school in Gambia prior to her departure.
