Bridge rebuild a priority for DoI

Gawne - public can have their say

Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne believes rebuilding Laxey bridge as quickly as possible will allow life in the village to get back to normal.

The bridge was destroyed following severe flooding in December, and the DoI told residents they would have the chance to share their views on the matter before a decision was made.

Mr Gawne says that hasn't changed - despite the department confirming a planning application will be submitted to rebuild the bridge next week.

He was speaking on Manx Radio's Talking Heads programme earlier:
