December inflation figures released

Figures relating to inflation in the Isle of Man for the month of December have been released by the Government.

They show the annual rate of inflation, as measured by the Consumer Prices Index (CPI), for December 2015 decreased again and now stands at -1.6%, down from -1.2% in November 2015.

The annual rate of inflation as measured by the Retail Prices Index (RPI), held at 2.3% in December 2015, the same as November 2015.

Excluding housing costs, the annual rate of inflation shown by the RPI is up to 2.9% for December 2015, from 2.8% in November 2015.
