Residents want public consultation on Laxey bridge

Planning application due next week

More public consultation should have been offered on the rebuilding of Laxey bridge, according to residents.

Following its destruction during the December floods, the Department of Infrastructure promised residents would have a chance to share their views.

But this week it was confirmed by the department a planning application would be submitted to rebuild the bridge next week.

Planning consultant Pat Newton is one of those concerned:
