Isle of Man Creamery Vintage Cheddar Truckles success

by isleofman.com 7th January 2016
The limited edition Vintage Cheddar wax covered truckles, produced by Isle of Man Creamery for the festive season, have proved to be a massive hit and sold out well before Christmas!

Vintage Cheddar is one of the Creamery’s most popular products with numerous awards under its belt, most recently a silver medal at the British Cheese Awards and a Highly Commended Certificate at the Nantwich International Cheese Show. It is produced and matured on-island for around 18 months to develop a greater complexity and depth of flavour and holds a subtly sweet and nutty taste which lingers in the mouth for lasting enjoyment.

The wax covered truckles were produced in 10 g and 200g sizes both of which were massively popular as gifts and attractive additions to after dinner cheese boards.

Managing Director, Findlay Macleod said: “We know how popular our Vintage Cheddar is but we were surprised by how quickly our warehouse sold out of the limited edition truckles! The truckles were well supported by many retailers all over the Island and our producer farmers even got involved in the promotion by having giant truckles appearing on their farms.

“Those who missed out should keep watch for more limited edition runs we are looking to develop in 2016.”
