by isleofman.com 6th January 2016

Dreadful conditions for shooters at weekend

Junior shooter Jack Kneen was the winner of the English Skeet Handicap competition at the Ayre Clay Target Club's Blue Point range on Sunday.

In attrocious conditions, Jack scored 118 to finish one ahead of Chris Parker - Jeff Corkill completed the podium in third.

Corkill won the 50 target shoot on 49 with father and son Marty and Jack Kneen joint second on 47.

In equally foul weather at the Meary Veg ranges, Alan Wade won Class "A" of the Down the Line winter league round, Juan Cowley took the Class "B" honours and Corina Clague was the Class "C" winner.

The cold, wet and windy weather led to the ABT shoot being postponed to a later date.
