?750k bridge for Laxey due 'by TT week'

Planning application due soon

A replacement bridge in lower Laxey is due to be ready for TT week this June.

That's according to the Department of Infrastructure, which is finalising plans for the structure after the old one collapsed during last month's flooding.

A planning application is due from the Department towards the end of next week.

The new structure is estimated to cost around £750,000.

Structural engineer Aidan McCusker says such work is becoming an ever greater priority for the DoI:
