Witnesses sought after New Year's morning incident

Police have issued a new appeal for information after an assault outside the Villa Marina in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

The incident happened at the Gaiety Theatre end of the Villa Marina Colonnade at about 1.10am

A man was seen running off towards Broadway afterwards, and officers say he was carrying a bottle of Grey Goose vodka.

Police say he ran past two people as he made off – and they’re now asking them to come forward.
