19 year old fell into harbour on New Year's morning

The parents of missing Jurby teenager Josh Caley have thanked searchers for their efforts at the weekend.

The emergency services carried out a huge search operation at the weekend after CCTV showed the 19 year old fell into the water close to the Mezeron Shipping Company on Ramsey’s East Quay at 1am on New Year's morning.

In a statement, his family have thanked everyone for their support, particularly those taking part in the search and recovery operation.

And in a special message to his friends they asked them not to blame themselves for what happened, saying it was an accident that couldn’t have been prevented.

An update on the seach is expected later today.
