Tribute to police officer

by isleofman.com 29th December 2015

The flags of the Manx police force are being flown at half-mast as a mark of respect for a serving officer who has died.

Sergeant Andy Pailor died in Noble's Hospital after a short illness yesterday (Monday), surrounded by his family.

A police spokesman said: 'Andy who was 45 years of age was known to many as a friend, colleague and police officer. Most importantly he was a loving husband to Allyson and a loving dad to Francesca and Ben.'

He joined the force in 1998 and worked in several departments, most recently as force incident manager in the Emergency Services Joint Control Room. Andy's family have asked for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.
