Storm front disrupts sailings

by isleofman.com 29th December 2015

Ferry sailings are being affected by a storm due to hit the Isle of Man later today (Tuesday).

The Steam Packet will make a decision by 5pm on whether this evening's sailing from Douglas to Heysham will be cancelled. Meanwhile, this afternoon's sailing from Heysham has been brought forward an hour to 1.15pm.

The met office is predicting severe gale force winds later, with gusts of up to 70mph, with some damage possible. Very heavy rain is forecast overnight with a risk of flooding in some areas.
