Online fundraiser for oil theft family

Community rallies around

An online appeal to replace fuel stolen from a family with four young children reached almost half its target in a single day.

Local firm Manx Business Reviews launched the Go Fund Me campaign after the Lee family from St Johns had 900 litres of oil taken from outside their home – threatening to make it a cold Christmas.

The company’s also promised a £200 reward for anybody who can help track down the thieves.

Steve England says he’s been delighted with the generous response from the Manx public:
