As 2015 draws to a close, Independent Financial Consultants Limited (IFC) is both celebrating a successful year and looking forward to an exciting and positive new one.
The company, which was set up in 2007 by Managing Director Kate Evans, has built its reputation on several core offerings: financial planning, asset protection and wealth management. Its clients range from private individuals and families, to management service providers.
Having seen the business grow steadily on the strength of client referrals alone, Kate and her husband Craig, who joined IFC in 2012, recently welcomed Chartered Financial Planner Julie Owen to the team in response to increasing success.
Kate and Craig bring to their business a formidable level of expertise gained through their respective backgrounds. Before moving into financial consulting, Kate worked for eight years as a captive insurance underwriter, which means that she is highly skilled in identifying and understanding financial risk in all its forms. Craig, meanwhile, worked in the Isle of Man Tax Office for 24 years. With Julie now on board to specialise in financial planning, the team is in a great position to consolidate and develop its strengths.
Chief amongst these strengths is a specialised service which is tailored individually to each client. Kate commented, “No two clients’ needs and circumstances are the same. We offer a highly personalised service, often meeting clients in the comfort of their homes at whatever time is most convenient for them. We are passionate about offering a friendly, down-to-earth, jargon-free approach which leaves clients confident of our abilities and their decisions.”
Also at the heart of IFC is a firm commitment to open, fair and honest dealings. As such, the company eschews commission work, offering instead a clear charging structure, with fees agreed at the outset. “We believe in a healthy work-life balance”, said Kate, “and we take pride in ensuring that our clients can enjoy their lives knowing that their finances are in assured hands.
