Should smoking in cars be banned?

by isleofman.com 21st December 2015

Isle of Man residents are being asked for their views on new no smoking regulations.

In February, Tynwald will be asked to approve a move to make it an offence to smoke in private vehicles where children are present. A fixed penalty of up to ?50 could be introduced.

The government says the measures are aimed at protecting young people from the effects of second-hand smoke.
The consultation can be found at www.consultations.gov and the deadline for responses is January 15.
