Local producers ready for festive rush

DEFA urges public to shop closer to home

The new Food Business Development Manager is urging the public to go local for food and drink for their Christmas dinners.

Andrew Lees - who took up the post on November 26 - says Manx firms are ready to meet the high demand in one of the busiest times of the year.

Last year, many relied on local producers when bad weather affected supplies in the supermarkets.

Mr Lees says they're ready for the rush this time around:
