Police want to trace a motorist who forced a car off the road and into a ditch.

The incident occurred at about 7am today (Thursday) on the Sloc Road in foggy conditions and what police describe as 'exceptionally poor' visibility. A large 4x4 vehicle was travelling in the middle of the road, forcing another vehicle being driven towards Port Erin to veer off the road and into a ditch.

Police say the car forced off the road has been extensively damaged and that the driver of the 4x4 appeared to be unaware of what had happened.
