On Friday 11th December, Thomas Miller (Isle of Man) Limited presented Jo Dixon (Island Manager) and Frank Pattison (Trustee) of Isle of Man Live at Home Schemes with a cheque for ?3,000 to benefit its 640 members.

Isle of Man Live at Homes Schemes currently have six active schemes across the Island and offer a range of services to older people - designed to relieve loneliness and isolation, to foster community engagement and to support independence in older life.

Island Manager, Jo Dixon said: “We offer a range of services designed to enhance and enrich the lives of older people in community settings or within their own homes. This donation will go directly to all six of our active schemes on Island to support them in their efforts to offer a ‘Christmas Experience’ to our Live at Home members, whether that’s a Christmas lunch, party, shopping trip, hamper or gift. We would like our members to know that we are thinking about them not just at Christmas, but all year round. We are extremely grateful to Thomas Miller and their staff for choosing to support our Charity.”

The donation forms part of Thomas Miller’s wider charitable giving – with a large amount of the funds raised by the staff throughout the year.

Commenting, Ian Jarrett, Chairman of Thomas Miller (Isle of Man) Limited said: “We were really impressed with the work done by the charity and are delighted to be able to help support such worthwhile schemes which reach out to so many senior citizens island wide.”
