Douglas-based law firm Cains has announced the appointment of Charles Williams as a trainee advocate.

Charles graduated in law from the University of Gloucestershire with First Class Honours and completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at The University of Law, Chester, gaining a Commendation.

Charles, who was educated at St. Ninian’s High School where he was Head Boy from 2010 to 2011, said: “It was always my intention to return to the Isle of Man following my studies in the UK and I am delighted to have gained a training contract with Cains.

“I hope that I will be able to make a positive contribution to the Cains Group and the Isle of Man’s legal and business communities.”
Head of Cains’ Corporate Department Richard Vanderplank, who will oversee Charles’ progress, commented: “Charles displayed real enthusiasm and passion during the interview process and it was an easy decision to offer him a training contract. I am confident that he will do well.”
