by isleofman.com 16th December 2015
Wealth manager WH Ireland has expanded its team as part of its commitment to growing its international presence from the Isle of Man.

Manx-born Symon Walmsley has been appointed Group Marketing Manager for the UK and international businesses and is based in the company’s Athol Street headquarters, while Hannah Holden is WH Ireland’s new Deputy Head of Business Development, supporting the growth of the Wealth Management division.

Recognising the needs of international clients and professional advisers, WH Ireland offers a range of investment services through its wholly owned subsidiary, WH Ireland (IOM) Limited, to combine personal service with all the advantages of investing in a well-rated jurisdiction and a top tier International Business Centre (IBC).

Having started his career with NatWest, Symon spent 11 years with Close Brothers Asset Management both in the Isle of Man and UK before joining Alliance & Leicester International as Marketing Communications Manager in 2011, and ultimately Santander in the Isle of Man in May 2013.

Hannah has more than 15 years’ experience in Marketing and Business Development in the finance sector, working with private clients, intermediaries, financial advisers and institutions. Her career has taken in roles across several businesses, including Wells Fargo Asset Management, Future Capital Partners, Albion Ventures, Close Brothers Asset Management and Premier Asset Management.

Will Corrin, WH Ireland (IOM) Limited Managing Director, said: ‘I am delighted that Hannah and Symon have joined WH Ireland to strengthen further our marketing and business development expertise. Their involvement as part of the team driving forward our vision and aspirations in the UK and internationally from the Isle of Man is a major step forward in the strategic development of accelerating the growth of our assets under management.’

WH Ireland (IOM) Limited was launched two years ago and has quickly built a strong reputation for superior personal service. The newly-formed Marketing & Business Development Team is based in the Isle of Man and London and is focused on developing new and innovative investment products and services for private clients and intermediaries in the UK and international marketplace, and opening up new distribution channels.

Hannah Holden said: ‘This is an exciting time to join WH Ireland as the group focuses on significantly increasing its share of the wealth management market. As we look to the future, I am looking forward to being part of a team developing our market-led investment proposition for both advisers and private clients and continuing the growth of our Wealth Management business.’

Symon Walmsley said: ‘WH Ireland has a solid track record and a strong heritage, and the passion of the Wealth Management team across the group is clear. I am delighted that WH Ireland has based its international presence from the Isle of Man and the commitment of the team here to superior client service has seen impressive growth in just two years. As we look to further expand the Isle of Man based team, I am excited to be working as part of a team continuing to build our proposition and building brand value.’
