Search continues for Knockaloe tenant

Minister's confidence over interest in site

Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Richard Ronan says work is continuing to find a new tenant for Knockaloe Farm.

 

This morning in Tynwald he faced questions about the site from David Anderson MLC, who wanted to know what progress was being made.

 

Mr Ronan said there had been interest from a number of people about the site, but more work was needed.

 

It has been suggested a visitor attraction could be developed there.

 

But responding to criticism about how slowly negotiations were progressing, Mr Ronan said he hoped for a decision before the next general election:
