Local gaming company, Annexio has appointed Jayne Simpson as Head of Finance.

The lottery services business, which offers customers the chance to play in some of the biggest jackpots worldwide, has undergone a rapid expansion in the past three years. The new role is one of a number of key appointments made during 2015.

Jayne brings 30 years’ experience in finance to Annexio. She is a former student of Douglas High School and a graduate in Accountancy and Finance. Prior to her new appointment, Jayne worked for Manx Telecom, initially as a Management Accountant and most latterly as Financial Controller. She is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Outside of work Jayne is the current Accounting Chair for Cancer Research UK and is a keen walker, combining these talents to raise more than ?1,000 for the charity in 2015. She completed both the Parish Walk and Sara Killey event this year and also won her age group in the End to End. She has recently returned from a backpacking adventure in Chile and Peru which included a visit to Machu Picchu.

Jayne is looking forward to supporting Annexio’s continued successful growth: “Annexio is in an exciting, fast-moving market with lots of opportunities to grow and develop. Although eGaming is a new sector for me, the fundamentals of establishing sound, robust financial systems apply to all expanding businesses and I am keen to get to work with a new team to reach our full potential. Annexio is a dynamic young company and I believe it has a very bright future.”

Managing Director Jennifer Houghton said, “Business continues to move on apace and we are delighted that Jayne is joining us at this point in our development. I am sure her experience in financial operations and her expertise in team management will be invaluable in helping us underpin future expansion.

“The Isle of Man remains a first-class location for our industry with its ongoing commitment to customer protection and good governance so it is always particularly pleasing to welcome home-grown talent. I look forward to working with Jayne and share her energy and enthusiasm for success.”
