Public queues up to buy charity CD

by isleofman.com 14th December 2015

More than 400 copies of 'One day like this', performed by X Factor contestant Simon Lynch and local singers Mark Walton and Mae Challis, sold in just three hours.

A long queue formed at the Strand Centre yesterday (Sunday) to buy the CD and have it signed by the artists. Proceeds go to the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group.

Carole Male of the charity said: 'It went better than we could ever have imagined. Although so many people had been involved in the making of the CD ?we never dream?t that Simon, Mark and Mae would be signing copies for three hours. And they didn’t just scribble their autographs – they chatted, posed for photographs and were fantastic ambassadors for the charity.'

The CD is available around the island from Currys, Duke Videos, Peter Norris Music, Curpheys, and the Cosmetic Medical Centre in Douglas, Scissors in Onchan, The Travel Shop and Chree Brae Gift Shop in Castletown, Noble’s Hospital Shop, Riley’s Garden Centre and Top 2 Toe in Peel and Ramsey.
