by isleofman.com 10th December 2015

First play on Manx Radio this afternoon

A charity single to raise money for Island breast cancer care, is being released tomorrow (Friday).

Former X Factor contestant Simon Lynch, Mark Walton and Mae Challis are among the voices you can hear on the track - a cover of Elbow's 'One Day Like This'.

The single also includes Manx musicians, and the voices of local choruses recorded from public events last month.

The CD costs £5.

All the money from sales will go to the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group and the final stages of the Island's dedicated breast care unit.

There's also an opportunity to have the CD signed by all three singers on Sunday (December 13) at the Strand Centre in Douglas.

Simon Lynch says he wasn't at all shocked to see so many people taking part in the recording last month:

You can hear the exclusive first play of the song on Women Today from 2pm this afternoon (Thursday).
