CIM students receive awards

by isleofman.com 10th December 2015
Students successful in achieving the CIM Certificate in Professional Marketing were congratulated on their success by Minister for Economic Development Laurence Skelly MHK at the recent Employment and Skills 2015 event.

A total of 9 students were recently awarded the hard earned qualification by the world’s leading marketing body, the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Richard Slee, Chair, CIM Isle of Man Branch said:

‘The students have worked very hard over the past year and they can be proud of what they have achieved.

‘We are very fortunate to have a study centre in the Isle of Man with the high quality of learning and development offered by Heather Blackley, Fellow of the CIM and Director at The Marketing Partnership - commended by the Awarding Body at CIM for the excellent performance of the centre during last year’s assessment session.’

Minister for Economic Development Laurence Skelly MHK commented:

‘Marketing education and training is encouraged by our Department through financial support for vocational training so the hard work and commitment of both the CIM student cohort and Heather is to be congratulated.

‘In my opinion, the marketing discipline is still very much misunderstood and undervalued so I am delighted that such a strong cohort emerged this year and will be making a real difference to the organisations they are associated with.‘
