Police are investigating two incidents of theft of power tools.
They say a 'significant quantity' of tools were stolen from a building site on Circular Road in Douglas sometime over the weekend of December 5 and 6. It's believed the tools were stolen to be sold on.
Meanwhile, power tools were stolen from a Gough Electrical van parked on the main Bride Road in Andreas, opposite the entrance to Croft Park, overnight on Tuesday/Wednesday this week.
Police Constable Steve Grainger said: 'The items stolen during this crime are identifiable. I urge anyone who may have been offered such items to report it to the police.
'With Christmas a couple of weeks away this crime serves as a timely reminder for the public to lock their vehicles and properties.'
The tools stolen from the van were a DeWalt XR4AMP 18V rechargeable hammer drill, a Milwaukee Percussion 18v rechargeable drill, a DeWalt 110v power drill, a Milwaukee 18v rechargeable hand held torch, and a JCB wheeled tool box full of tools.
