Praises work of firefighters around the Island

The Island's Chief Fire Officer has reflected on the impact of last weekend's fierce weather conditions.

Kevin Groom passed on his thanks to all of the Island's emergency services for their assistance during the rainstorms and gales, which began on Thursday.

The Fire and Rescue Service also had to reckon with the flooding of their own headquarters on Peel Road.

Kevin spoke about the remarkable weather his staff dealt with:
