Lesley Sleight has topped Archery GB’s Field Ranking for the second consecutive year.
Archery GB, the national governing body for the sport of Archery in Great Britain and Northern Ireland has announced its 2015 field rankings and Lesley Sleight topped the women’s American Flatbow category for the second year running.
This follows another fantastic year for the Queen Elizabeth II High School teacher. Highlights have included representing Great Britain at the World 3D Championships in Italy finishing in 13th place and gaining a Bronze medal for England at the IFAA European Field Championship. This year Lesley has won the All British Field Championships, set two Archery GB UK records and gained a silver medal at the National Field Archery Society National Championships.
Lesley is now hoping to be selected for the Great Britain field team to compete in the European 3D Championships in Slovenia.
Lesley is on the Isle of Man Sports Institute Coaching Development Programme and would like to thank Isle of Man Sport for the opportunity to be part of the initiative which helps her not only as a coach but as an athlete. Lesley would also like to thank QEII High School and Department of Education for their support.
