Constable Jenette Martin from the Criminal Investigation Department, Police Headquarters, Douglas is appealing for information regarding an item, which is suspected to be stolen, which was located during the investigation of two recent burglaries.

DC Martin said: “The photograph shows a backpack located by officers which contains a swimming towel and trunks. This bag was recovered on Friday 13th November 2015 and thus far Police have not identified who owns it. The owners of this item have not previously reported it as stolen and we are appealing for anyone who can prove that this item belongs to them or knows who it may belong to, to contact the Police. We appreciate that it is not a high value item but identifying its owner we can establish if they have been the victim of a crime. Anyone with information is asked to contact DC 267 Martin at Police Headquarters on 631212 or use the anonymous Crimestoppers line 0800 555 111.”
