Don't drive unless you absolutely have to - message from police

Do you really need to be on the roads this weekend?

That's a question being asked by the Island's emergency services.

Police are urging people not to make any unnecessary journies.

Many abandoned their cars on Thursday amid widespread local floods and heavy rainfall.

With similar weather forecast for today, Inspector Derek Flint says you have to be careful on the roads, even if you drive a vehicle more suited to the conditions.
