Independent legal researchers have highlighted the expertise of some of Simcocks’ leading lawyers.
The 2016 edition of Chambers UK says the company’s dispute resolution team is known for its ability to handle complex international family, matrimonial and private client disputes, in addition to significant contentious commercial matters for noteworthy corporate entities. The recently published directory also said the department was, “notable for its expertise in representing clients embroiled in admiralty cases”.
During interviews one client said, “they offer very sound claim management especially for individuals involved in very large pieces of litigation" and "turnaround times and access to personnel is excellent."
The annual guide that ranks both lawyers and law firms based on the findings of full-time editors and researchers is published in each year. Interviews with lawyers and clients are carried out to help establish the rankings and commentary.
Another client told researchers, Christopher Arrowsmith, who leads the dispute resolution practice, "is very calm and a very good decision maker; he isn't afraid of a fight when he has to go to court and he is very much on top of things."
Chambers UK said Simcocks' Corporate and Finance team is an established presence in the market acting on behalf of banks and other notable financial institutions, while also regularly working with law firms, based in a range of jurisdictions, on cross-border matters.
