Search for missing aircraft

Airport authorities in the Isle of Man have confirmed that a search is underway for a light aircraft that left Ronaldsway this morning.


The plane had been due to land at Blackpool just after 9am but did not arrive. Only the pilot was onboard.


Ports director Ann Reynolds said: 'I can confirm that an incident is ongoing regarding a light aircraft that left Ronaldsway this morning, with one person on board.'


The search is being coordinated by the Coastguard.
