Disability Networks now on Facebook

by isleofman.com 2nd December 2015
Disability Networks are delighted to announce that the local disability information charity now has a Facebook presence thanks to the support of local business Moving Clouds Media. Find it at facebook.com/disabilitynetworks – easily browse current news and events, and find many other local charities, private businesses and Government services information too – join in by liking and sharing our posts and feel free to add comments.

Moving Clouds Media provide a wide range of marketing services, including social media management. Their technical support has made this extension of Disability Networks’s services possible and their on-going donation of skills and time is much appreciated. Disability Networks is run entirely by volunteers.

The aim of the charity is to make it easier to find relevant local information for those who are temporarily or permanently disabled. The Facebook presence complements the charity’s website found at www.disabilitynetworks.info.

This on-line directory has a “browsealoud” function, making the website more accessible to those with limited vision, reading difficulties or whose first language is not English. See the large orange button on the home page.

Another recent addition is the “What’s New and Events” section. If you have any information you think relevant for our users then please either post it on our Facebook page or email: disabilitynetworks@manx.net for inclusion on the website.
