Early crash but good recovery ride

NatWest Island Games gold medallist Nick Corlett finished fourth at the British Cross-Country National Mountain Bike Championships at the weekend.

Competing in the under-23 race at the Olympic venue at Hadleigh Park in Essex, he recovered from a second lap crash to fight his way through the field.

In high temperatures, he recorded a time of 1 hour, 30 minutes and 7 seconds - 4 minutes and 56 seconds behind the winner Iain Paton of Team Wiggins.
