The Isle of Man Special Olympics team at the World Games in Los Angeles are starting competitive action in hot sunshine.

A great win by footballers who beat Venezuela 5-0 - they play Pakistan later today.

Chris Hattersley took 4th place in a sprint finish in the 25km Cycling road race at Long Beach in scorching conditions.

Mixed fortunes earlier in the week in swimming with Emily Keigwin winning a bronze medal in the 100m Freestyle but Luke Seed being disqualified for technical reasons after finished in silver medal position.
