Five medals won at Special Olympics

Great day for Manx in LA

It has been a great day for the Isle of Man at the Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles.

Five more medals have been won.

There were silvers for Chris Hattersley in the 15km Cycle Road Race and for Peter Taylor in the Badminton Singles.

Bronze medals were claimed Tom Dawe and Duncan Watterson in Athletics and by Elizabeth Tinkler in Bocce.

The Football team are through to the semi-finals but do not know who they will play yet.

In Bowling, Karl Monahan and Nikki Wright finished fifth in the team event.
