Nicola wins Bocce singles

Nicola Wooldridge has won the first gold medal for the Isle of Man at the Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles.

It came in the Bocce singles event.

Chris Hattersley claimed bronze in the 10km cycling time trial. 

In athletics, Lawerance Dyer claimed bronze in the 3000m and Andrew McGeehan won bronze in the 50m freestyle swimming.

The Island’s football team is through to the final against Slovenia after beating Japan 4-1 in the semi-finals.
