Kurt Buchholz wants to see more done

A candidate for next week's Douglas East by-election says he's in favour of tighter border controls.

Kurt Buchholz, a businessman and former ship's captain, made the comments while appearing live on Mandate.

He says the Island should be keeping a closer eye on the people coming here: (play audio)

The Douglas East by-election is due to take place on Thursday, November 12.

The other candidates are; Claire Bettison, Richard Falk, Jonathan Joughin, John McBride, Geraldine O'Neill and Cat Turner.
