Five locations' histories to be honoured

The rich history of the Island's airfields is to be commemorated this weekend.

The Airfields of Britain Conservation Trust (ABCT) is unveiling memorial stones and plaques at five different locations at the Island's disused airfields.

Forty-two memorials have already been placed around Britain by the ABCT to honour military and social histories.

ABCT Founder and Leader Kenneth Bannerman says it's important to keep memories alive.
