Training police off-sland proves Island's safety - Bell

Chief Minister supports off-Island training for Manx officers

The fact the Island is such a safe place to live has brought its own security problems, says the Chief Minister.

Officers get very little practical experience in some areas that are quite commonplace across.

Allan Bell, commenting after the second reading of a Bill that proposes contracting out some police functions, say taking officers off-Island for training is an indication of how secure a place the isle of Man is.
