Traffic calming measures for St Mark's

Cregeen outlines plans

Residents of St Mark’s were last night shown proposals for traffic calming measures through the village.

The Department of Infrastructure is to trial wooden planters, placed on the edge of the carriageway, and designed to reduce the speed and flow of traffic.

It’s likely the planters will be installed in the next few weeks.

MHK for the area Graham Cregeen outlined the plans.

There are restrictions on what can be done to cut speeds as St Mark’s is a designated conservation area.
