Singing star Simon brings the X Factor to Island charity

by isleofman.com 12th November 2015

Public can get involved

Manx X Factor star Simon Lynch may not have made it through to the live shows, but he’s back and working on a charity record.

Teaming up with the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group, Simon wants to involve the general public in a special recording session.

He’ll be covering Elbow’s ‘One Day Like This’ – and is inviting people from all walks of life to come along to the Sea Terminal departure lounge at 10.30am, or Noa Bakehouse from 12.15pm on Saturday November 28.

And, if you can’t make it to the recording sessions, you can email a video of you singing the chorus to
videos@manxbreastcancersupportgroup.com for a chance to be featured.

The highest corporate donation will also win the chance to sing with Simon, and bids can be sent to
corporates@manxbreastcancersupportgroup.com.

The CD, due to be released next month, will also feature tracks from local singers Mark Walton and Mae Challis.

It will be available to download, and physical copies will be available from local retailers.

Revealing the project live on Manx Radio’s Women Today programme, Simon explained why he'd chosen the song for the project . .
