London City service set to increase next year

Could BA soften blow of Flybe service axe?

It's likely BA will increase its service to London City next summer.

Director of Ports Anne Reynolds was speaking after the recent announcement from Flybe that it will drop its Stansted service at the end of March 2016 - after just one year's operation.

Ms Reynolds says airlines used to operate a route for longer before making a decision but Flybe has said whilst the passenger numbers aren't bad, it's not making enough money per ticket.

However, she's confident BA will make an announcement shortly to say it will increase its London-Isle of Man service.
