Wood opens for bereaved parents

Place of reflection near Injebreck reservoir

An area of the countryside to remember lost loved ones, has been opened as a place of reflection for Island parents.

Bereaved parents can plant trees in memory of their child in Sleeping Angel Wood near Injebreck reservoir.

Tori Smithies has gathered support across the Island for the venture, which was officially opened by David Cretney MLC on Sunday.

Tori says it should be a happier alternative to a graveyard:
