Shopping centre manager hopes for sales boost

It's Black Friday - reportedly the biggest shopping day of the year.

The idea for a massive sales day on the Friday immediately after Thanksgiving has been growing in popularity this side of the Atlantic after being imported from America a few years ago.

It's seen as a kick-start for the Christmas shopping season.

General Manager of the Strand Shopping Centre Louise Whyman says the idea can provide a boost for stores on the Island:
