The Gift That Keeps on Giving

by isleofman.com 2nd December 2015
Do you find shopping for Christmas presents a wonderful way to think of friends and family, and what they would like to receive, or do you find it a bit of an uninspiring annual chore? Whatever your approach to present buying, the ManxSPCA can to help make the experience more fulfilling and rewarding. It has set up an Amazon Affiliates site on its website’s homepage (www.manxspca.com) which enables shoppers to donate to the Society without spending any extra money.

Sounds too good to be true? Well it isn’t. Up to 10% of the purchase price of goods bought through the ManxSPCA Affiliates site will be donated to the Society by Amazon, with absolutely no additional cost to the buyer. It’s Amazon’s way of giving back to charity – all you have to do is access Amazon through the ManxSPCA’s website.

The Society is also grateful to local retailers and suppliers who are often very generous and provide their goods and services to the charity at a discounted price, and it encourages everyone to shop local whenever they can. Shoprite have kindly agreed to collect Christmas gifts for the ManxSPCA at its stores in Victoria Road, Castletown, Onchan and Port Erin. You will see special shopping trolleys near the checkouts ready to collect tins of food, treats, toys – whatever you are able to give in order to help make Christmas special for the 200 animals currently in the Society’s care at Ard Jerkyll.
